Corporate Headshots for Pippa

Recently I got hired by the awesome folks at Pippa to create headshots for their founder and team. Pippa's online platform allows for users to create and share podcasts easily and quickly. Since they're a more tech-based company, I wanted to create images that reflected that vibe instead of the traditional corporate headshot with suit and tie. JJ Abrams' take on Star Trek immediately came to mind with the blueish lighting. Years of watching sci-fi and attending tech conventions has me think the color blue when it comes to technology.

For the main headshot of the founder, I used more traditional coloring since his headshot will be used in a different manner. But I was giving a bit more creative leeway for the candid shots of the team.

I wanted to aim for something similar to Abram's Star Trek look that reflect the high-tech nature of Pippa's platform. Beyond the lighting aspects, the goal was also to capture the essence of the Pippa team. Fun, competent, and focused where the ideas I had in my head. I think these images accomplish just that.

Fun note, we only had about 10 minutes to shoot in the space we were using. With a bit of quick thinking, we were able to capture what we were going for. "When life throws you lemons..." as they say!
